Dan Lorenzo grew up in Paramus NJ and originally wanted to be the shortstop for the New York Mets. That all changed in the 9th grade when Dan started playing guitar. In 1987 Dan released his first full length album with the band Hades. Hades toured Europe and America then disbanded. Dan started a new band, Non-Fiction in 1989. Non-Fiction released three cds, toured America and Europe and they too disbanded, in 1994. That was the year Dan started selling advertising for Steppin' Out Magazine. A few years later Dan tried his hand at writing. Dan still records
music for fun. He writes this column to piss you off. Is it working? Check out www.DanLorenzo.net for more information on Dan.

Sonya Hay has been a professional wino extraordinaire since the late 1990s. Her career began in the NYC restaurant circuit, but her passion began when she spent a summer in the Lombardy region of Italy. "I was the only one drinking red wine in the summer time because I had never enjoyed white wine...well this quickly changed during my stay and I ended up tasting some of Italy's most amazing white wines - I was hooked!" Sonya studied journalism & anthropology at the University of Connecticut, and is in the Master Sommelier Program for which she completed the first exam of three. Sonya is a wine consultant as well as a freelance wine journalist. She loves writing for Steppin' Out because she has full creative range and does not have to conform to stuffy guidelines. Thanks guys!

For nearly two decades Larry Collins has been the commander-in-chief behind what has become the most successful weekly entertainment magazine in the New Jersey and New York City area. What started as nothing more than a dream in 1988, Larry along with his wife Pamela laid down the foundation for Steppin Out from his parents basement. Against all odds, the loving couple developed a unique and well respected magazine that has often been imitated but never out done. To this day, Larry's dedication to both the readers and of course the hundreds of loyal advertisers who have believed in Steppin Out since the beginning remains his top priority.
